Flamingos are fabulous!
Knitters are fabulous!
Therefore, knitters are flamingos.
Or, at the very least, they should knit some flamingos.

I LOVE flamingos! They are pink (SO DRESSY). They like to parade (SO FANCY). They can sleep standing on one leg (SO IMPRESSIVE). AND…a flock of flamingos is called a FLAMBOYANCE! What’s not to love!?! This cowl was designed to celebrate my favorite bird (Sorry, puffin. You are cute, too, but you’re no flamingo).

This cowl includes sunshine, fabulous flamingos, AND little bitty palm trees! I’m particularly excited about the palm trees! In this pattern, you will find tutorials for casting on your cowl, and for working the (unbelievably fun) little trees.

This pattern includes an OPTIONAL duplicate stitch chart (for adding beaks and eyes to your flamingos) and a video tutorial to help you work the duplicate stitches. In my photos, you will see that I have included some photos of the cowl without duplicate stitch and some with duplicate stitch. You get to decide if the lemon is worth the squeeze!

Worked SEAMLESSLY from the top down, this cowl knits up quickly (like any good cowl should), but wears like a hassle-free shawl. Unlike traditional tube cowls that rumple into a pile of knitting around your neck, this shawl-shaped construction lets your knitting shine by creating a triangular front and shortened back. The shape is wonderful, wearable, and just plain fun to knit.

This Cowl Includes:

  • Top-Down, Seamless Construction

  • Shawl-Shaped Wearability

  • Striking Colorwork

  • Charts & Written Instructions

  • Video Tutorials

  • An optional duplicate stitch chart & tutoria

NOTE: Colorwork charts do not include written instructions.
